Brian Eno had the idea for the album while stuck waiting for a delayed flight at Cologne Bonn Airport in Germany. The record that named ambient music, with slow, overlapping tape loops of piano and voice, made to calm an airport terminal and Robert Wyatt on piano for 1/1.

First released 1978. This CD is the Virgin Original Masters Series reissue (2004 remaster).
